Venir: je viens, tu viens, il/elle vient — nous venons, vous venez, ils/elles viennent. Singular stems use vien-; plurals use ven- (except ils viennent, which mirrors the singular). Prendre: je prends, tu prends, il/elle prend — nous prenons, vous prenez, ils/elles prennent. Same vowel-shift pattern; the double nn appears only in ils/elles prennent. Key uses: venir de + infinitive = just did something (je viens de manger); prendre + transport = take the metro/bus/train; prendre also covers ordering food (je prends le menu).
