Food vocabulary

The nouns you need to talk about meals, proteins, vegetables, fruit, and drinks — with their genders and the three meal names: le petit-déjeuner, le déjeuner, le dîner.

The three meals: le petit-déjeuner (breakfast), le déjeuner (lunch), le dîner (dinner) — all masculine, all use le. Key proteins (mostly masculine): le poulet (chicken), le bœuf (beef), le poisson (fish), les œufs (eggs — m.pl.), le jambon (ham).
